Bicol Region is one of thirteen (13) regional divisions of the Land Transportation Office (LTO). The LTO Region 5 regional office was established to manage and oversee the various LTO agencies within its jurisdiction. They are also responsible for enforcing LTO rules, regulations, and policies throughout Region 5.
With its LTO agencies, the regional office of the LTO Bicol Region was established to bring the agency closer to the people, making it easier for the public and the agency to provide residents and visitors with a safe, efficient, convenient, and economical land transport service.
The Bicol Region is located on the southeast peninsula of Luzon, the largest island in the northern part of the Philippine archipelago. In addition to its almost perfectly conical Mount Mayon and the panoramic views it offers from Legazpi, Albay, Bicol, it is also known for its mountains, caves, cliffs, white-sand beaches, and coral reefs.
With its historic routes and coconut-rich regional cuisine, it is a paradise for lovers of spicy food and adventure in the great outdoors. There are numerous business establishments and government offices located in its regional center in Legazpi City, including the LTO. With programs and activities aimed at better economic, industrial, and social development within the region, the agency ensures that the public receives excellent public service.
