Davao City Land Transportation Office refers to the set of four (4) LTO offices located in Davao City, Davao del Sur: LTO Davao City South District Office (DO), LTO Davao City North District Office (DO), LTO DLRO Toril, and LTO DLRO Buhangin. LTO Davao City was created in the same way as other LTO branches in the Philippines to ensure speedy, convenient, accessible, and affordable LTO services for Davaoeños. Davao City and its geographical area of responsibility (GAOR) now have more LTO offices to monitor and regulate drivers, car owners, and operators, as well as oversee vehicle use and the entire land transport service. These branch offices also keep the LTO’s presence alive and felt in the local land transport industry. As a result, the LTO’s core programs and services are delivered close to the very people it wants to serve and protect – both drivers and pedestrians.
One of the Philippines’ largest islands, Mindanao, is at the heart of Davao City, a gateway to Mindanao. Besides holding the title of Orchid Capital of the Philippines, Davao City is also home to the Durian Capital of the Philippines. Additionally, Mt. Apo (one of the country’s highest mountains) and the monkey-eating Philippine eagle are found here. Agricultural and industrial centers in the South benefited from the rich, fertile land and pleasant climate of this region.
There are four (4) LTO offices in Davao City, located in the province of Davao del Sur: LTO Davao City South District Office (DO), LTO Davao City North District Office (DO), LTO DLRO Toril, and LTO DLRO Buhangin. It is these local LTO offices that serve as the frontline agencies for the LTO Central Office. Various LTO programs and services are offered and brought closer to the local transacting public in Davao through them. Moreover, most of the LTO’s core programs and services are also provided through these offices and are accessible to locals who need them, especially those who work behind the scenes.
These LTO offices in Davao City include:
LTO Davao City South District Office
In the southern part of Davao City, the Davao City South District Office is the main office for LTO-related issues. As a result, all LTO services are more accessible to the people of Davao City, as compared to having to go straight to the Central Office. Those who work behind the wheels can also transact with the LTO from this district office without having to leave Davao City, saving both time and money.
LTO Davao City North District Office
As in the case of the LTO Davao City South District Office in the southern part of the city, the City of Davao created the LTO Davao City North District Office to cater to the needs of those in the northern part of the city. On the opposite side of the city, the LTO Davao City North District Office provides the same types of programs and services. It is, however, housed in the same building along with the Davao City South DO, and is located with the LTO Region 11 at the LTO MVIS Compound on Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City.
LTO DLRO Toril
A new LTO DLRO Fecris Toril has been opened as part of the Land Transportation Office (LTO)’s continuous modernization programs in an effort to improve service delivery and processes. LTO DLRO Toril operates in Davao City as a sub-office of the LTO and is located in Fecris Supermarket, McArthur Highway, Toril, Davao City.
LTO DLRO Buhangin
The LTO Davao City opened another Drivers’ License Renewal Office (DLRO) at the Gaisano Grand Mall in Buhangin, Davao City, in another step towards continuous modernization. The LTO created this DLRO in order to cater to more client needs and make licensing services more accessible to the public. In addition, the LTO provides more convenient services with a shorter waiting period through the DLRO.
