Maasin City is home to only one Land Transportation Office (LTO): the Maasin District Office (DO). A branch office of the LTO was opened in Maasin to provide fast, convenient, and affordable LTO services to the residents of this city.
Besides keeping local and visiting drivers, owners, and operators in line, the branch office also helps keep the agency’s geographical area of responsibility (GAOR) in order. Since there are fewer people to support, the LTO office has a greater chance of making its presence felt and enforcing its rules more strictly.
The additional time and manpower will allow them to watch over the roads, the land transport service providers, and the entire local land transport sector, ensuring the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.
Even though Maasin City may not be a typical tourist destination, it has become a major pilgrimage center in Southern Leyte due to its rustic beauty, laid-back charm, and bucolic beauty, which includes immaculate waterfalls, stunning sunsets, lush forests, caves, and mangrove plantations. As one of the oldest cities in Southern Leyte, Maasin City is a major religious pilgrimage hub. Due to its popularity, it is a popular place to do business and for government offices as well.
The LTO Maasin District Office (DO) is the lone office of the LTO located in Maasin, Southern Leyte. Through the LTO Maasin District Office, the different programs and services of the LTO Central Office are delivered faster to the local transacting public. In Panal Street, Brgy., LTO Maasin District Office (DO). In Abgao, most of the LTO’s core programs and services are available to the locals, especially to those who work behind the wheel.
