LTO Region 11, also known as LTO Southern Mindanao Region or LTO Davao Region, is one of the regional divisions of the LTO in the Philippines. The regional office also oversees the LTO agencies in the cities and municipalities within Region 11’s jurisdiction, just as the Central Office does.
On the other hand, LTO branch agencies within the region implement projects and enforce LTO rules and regulations within each geographical area of responsibility (GAOR).With the help of its LTO agencies, the Regional Office for Southern Mindanao (Davao) Region ensures that the Secretariat and its services are accessible, making it easier for the public and the agency to work together towards a safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more affordable land transportation system in South Mindanao.
It is well known for many things in Region 11. Known for its forests, fertile fields, gold, copper, manganese, and nickel reserves, and a rich community of diverse cultural groups, Davao region attracts thousands of small scale miners and commercial explorers to its territory, making it an ideal location for local government offices and public services.
A region in the southeast part of the island of Mindanao, officially known as Region 11, is the Southern Mindanao Region or Davao Region. Located on the southeastern part of the Mindanao islands surrounding the Davao Gulf, it is an agro-industrial, trade, and tourism center.
It is composed of five (5) provinces, namely, Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro (formerly Compostela Valley), and Davao del Sur, along with five (5) cities, including one (1) independent city and four ( 4) component cities: Davao City, Panabo City, Tagum City, Digos City, and Island Garden City of Samal. There are several LTO agencies located within these provinces and cities, which together make up LTO Region 11 (LTO Southern Mindanao Region).
Southern Mindanao’s regional center (Davao Region) is Davao City, also known as the “Land of Promise” and the gateway to Mindanao. As the regional center and business hub in these areas, it makes it easier for the LTO to deliver its core programs and services to the over 5.2 million residents.
