Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 15, also known as the Land Transportation Office (LTO) CARAGA Administrative Region (CARAGA), is one of LTO’s regional divisions. This regional office also coordinates and oversees the activities of LTO agencies within the municipalities and cities of the CARAGA region, as does the Central Office. LTO branch agencies within the region, however, implement and enforce rules and regulations within the cities and municipalities within their geographic area of responsibility (GAOR).
By working together with its LTO agencies, the LTO CARAGA Administrative Region (CARAGA) regional office makes sure the Secretariat and its services are accessible, making it easier for both the public and the agency to improve land transport services in the local area that are safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more affordable.
There are many things to like about the CARAGA region, including its wood-based economy, extensive water resources, abundant mineral deposits, alluring islets, dozens of caves, picturesque landscapes, the famed “pipeline” and waves, and the rich marine delights. This makes it an appealing destination for adventure seekers. Additionally, some parts of the region regularly host events, which make it an ideal location for private and public offices like the LTO.
The LTO Region 15 is an administrative region located in the northeast section of Mindanao. It is known as the LTO CARAGA Administrative Region (CARAGA). Known as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines, Siargao is surrounded by rich mineral and water resources, and is home to five (5) provinces: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur, as well as six (6) cities: Bayugan, Bislig, Butuan, Cabadbaran, Surigao, and Tandag, 67 municipalities, and 1,3111 barangays. It is these provinces and cities that house numerous LTO agencies, which together form LTO Region 15 (LTO CARAGA Administrative Region). LTO CARAGA agencies make it easier for people in these parts to access and avail of the Secretariat’s core programs and services without having to spend time and money traveling.
