There are some criteria as well as documentary requirements you need to satisfy before you can renew your LTO Conductor’s license:

Qualifications

License renewal requirements for LTO Conductors are as follows:

• A minimum age of eighteen (18) is required

• A contagious disease must not be present and the worker must be physically and mentally fit

• Reading and writing skills in Filipino and/or English are required

• For those who haven’t renewed in over two (2) years from the expiration date, they must pass the theoretical examination

• The driver must not have an unsettled traffic violation on their record

Name change

• The following requests for revision may be made, whichever is applicable:

  • A photocopy of the Court Order authorizing the change of name and the original copy must be presented

  • The original death certificate of the deceased husband should be presented to the widow, as well as one (1) copy of it

  • Authenticated birth certificate, Philippine identification card, or marriage contract with annotation, if applicable. A valid birth certificate and marriage contract validated by the Office of the Local Civil Registry with an attached Official Receipt must be presented in areas without a PSA branch.

The change of civil status

• The original of the marriage contract must be presented, as well as one (1) photocopy. Unless the marriage contract is in English or Filipino, an official English translation must be submitted. • One (1) copy of each of the originals and one (1) photocopy of each of the copies is required

  • Identification card of the Philippines

  • An international passport

How to renew LTO conductor license

You need to follow these steps in order to renew your conductor’s license with the LTO in the Philippines:

Via the LTO’s office, in person

This is what you need to do if you prefer to visit an LTO office directly.

Step 1: Complete the Application for Permits and Licenses (APL) form

• Your turn will come when you get the queue number.

• Make sure you have an Application for Permits and Licenses (APL) form

• Form APL (Application for Permits and Licenses) must be completed

Step 2: Send the completed APL form along with the queue number and requirements.

Step 3: Pay your fees at the Cashier.

Step 4: Takes a written exam

• In case of failure

  • Come back on another day to retake the exam after receiving the computer-generated results letter.

• Passed

  • Now it’s time to take the driving test.

The LTMS allows conductors to renew their licenses online

Here are the steps you need to follow if you prefer to renew your LTO conductor’s license online via the Land Transport Management System (LTMS) portal:

Your conductor’s license renewal can be started directly if you already have an LTMS account. Otherwise, follow the steps in this guide on how to sign up for an account on the LTMS portal.

Step 1: Use your account email address or your 15-digit LTO client number to log into the LTMS online portal.

Step 2: Choose Licensing from the LTMS dashboard.

Step 3: Click the blue Accept button after reading and accepting the LTMS Terms of Use.

Step 4: Select Conductor’s License as the License Classification on the Online Application form.

Step 5: To add a medical certificate, click Add Medical Certificate and enter the Medical Certificate Number. Click on Verify.

Step 6: Choose Renewal as the application type, then click Next.

Step 7: Select your preferred appointment time and LTO office.

Step 8: Using your preferred payment method, pay the applicable renewal fees.

In order to avoid penalties, make sure you check your CL’s expiry date and renew it before it expires.

Your profile will be saved once you have filled out the form and you will be redirected to the dashboard. Licensing can be accessed again by clicking it again.
